"Both band name and song title led me to expect something very different from this alluring psych pop tune - think the Left Banke without the strings. Substantial Evidence were from Biloxi, Mississippi. I’m guessing they made the drive down to New Orleans, as the great Cosimo Matassa engineered the track. Released on the wonderfully named Groovy Grape label” Guess I’m Dumb.
