Joni Mitchell plays solo guitar 'Just Like This Train'
Joni Mitchell performs the solo from her song “Just Like This Train” on electric guitar at Newport Folk Festival on July 24, 2022. Brandi invited her up and said she had been working on this to share, and mentioned she had not performed publicly much since suffering from a brain aneurysm in 2015. She said she had to teach herself to play again and had been watching YouTube videos to learn the chords.
“Just Like This Train” is on Joni’s 1974 album “Court And Spark”.
The performance was part of the closing set of the 2022 Newport Folk Festival, at the Fort Stage. Joni was a surprise guest of a set curated by Brandi.

Well the live broadcast tribute to John is down now and I really miss it. I found the few vids below while searching but miss amongst the tracks still found sneaking around on YouTube all the Jason Wilbur and John's band members especially the one with Kelsey Waldon but also the wonderful force of nature that is Kurt Vile covering 'Crazy as a Loon' with John Paul White, Jim James, Pat McLaughlin and Courtney Marie Andrews.
