The Beatles leaving the BBC's Paris Theatre in London WC2. BBC Paris Studios had been a cinema in a former life, but when the BBC took over it became the main venue for BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4 comedy programmes. I'm Sorry I Haven’t a Clue, radio versions of Dad's Army, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy all featured. Live performances from The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Queen and Pink Floyd amongst others featured prominently. The BBC left the Paris Studios in 1995 with a special commemorative concert.
