Chris Hillman - "Ashes Of Love"
For BC and Joan who love Chris and posted out post Byrds also started The Desert Rose Band with Herb Pedersen and John Jorgenson. Today, I post a song from Hillman’s solo album, “Desert Rose” (Sugar Hill, 1984). This song was written by Jim & Jack Anglin and Johnnie Wright (of Johnnie & Jack) and has also been recorded by the likes of Buck Owens, Dickie Lee, and Jim & Jesse.
and for the Storm watchers. . . . .stay in doors and batten down the hatches folks here we have a weather warning - threat of life (red warning) has gone over (to amber) but it is still life threateningly windy!
Ooh-wee, ride me high
Tomorrow's the day my bride's a-gonna come
Ooh-hoh, are we gonna fly
Down in the easy chair
