I always say, Mama, I don’t play no tonk, but you’ll feel me when the guitar turns hot, and the weather suits your clothes, that the musicians around you, who ain’t never fit in no box, bring something new to defy the same ol way. Hope you can hang your hat on it.

Yesterday, the rain sounded like a giant moshing in an aluminum kitchen, and today I'm thinking bout how far I come, how far there is still to go, and I hope this little thing finds you well. Glad to get this out, commemorating how far I’ve come, and how far there still is to go.
