I hate to think all of the great songs have been written. It's kind of a shame that today's kids don't have a Beatles or Bob Dylan they can call their own. I don't think it would really matter anyway due to their attention span being 10 minutes long. Besides they have to go look on Facebook to see if their post's have a following. Sad..Sad..Sad
I feel ya bro! I am not so sure though . . . whilst my children follow Taylor Swift they also enjoy much of what is happening now and share some with me, that are new voices (Wet Leg?) and whilst there may not be a Lennon McCartney there are some voices that intrigue beguile and hypnotise (Swift notwithstanding!!) I LIKE Ed Sheehan, I like Lewis Capaldi very much and peerless voices there are by the dozen (C-Mat, Dua Lipa) but there does some to be a lack of original writing talent somewhat - Matty Healy from the 1975? Abroad there is Nat Myles who I adore but he is an old soul and rooted in Blues roots Americana! waffle waffle waffle . . . . . . . I dunno! so long as these youngsters are still out there making a noise and banging a drum I guess I’m happy!
