Bill Maher noted Trump’s big Freedom 250 spectacle is so lame it can’t even hold onto acts like Vanilla Ice and Milli (or Vanilli?) Fab Morvan.

“That’s got to hurt a lot, when you can’t close the deal with Milli Vanilli.”

The irony writes itself. Trump promised a star-studded celebration of America and ended up with lip-sync scandals and one-hit wonders from the early ‘90s. And even they’re bailing left and right.

Now the memes are piling up. The likes of the California Raisins, the Banana Splits, and Josie and the Pussycats all can’t make it, unfortunately.

Maher also torched Trump’s unhinged plan to print fancy new $250 bills with his own face plastered on them:

“Here’s something in the category of wow, we never used to be this country: They’re putting out a $250 bill with Trump’s face on it. Republicans in Congress are thrilled about it. They can’t wait to carry it in their wallet. What a switcheroo: having Trump’s face next to their ass.”

We saw this coming a mile away. Trump is trying to turn America’s hallowed 250th anniversary into a low-rent Trump ego party stacked with has-beens that even the has-beens don’t want to show up for.
