Lou Reed The Broadcast Collection 1976 -1992 - LIVE IN CLEVELAND 1978 | FLOPPY BOOT STOMP

Lou Reed - Live In Cleveland 1978

Jobe notes: Lou's Arista years were not his best. Sadly when you go to listen

to Lou, the first things you're not gonna reach for are "The Bells" or

"Growing Up In Public" However we did get one masterpiece during

this time "Street Hassle" Which brings us to the point where you come in.

Apparently the live songs on "Street Hassle"  "Gimmie Some Good Times,

Leave Me Alone, Shooting Star and Wait" were recorded  on April 24th in

Ludwigshafen, with Wait being recorded in Munich (I don't know the date

of this one) I find it very hard to believe that these songs were recorded at

these shows seeing as how the bootlegs I can find of these cuts sound like shit,

unless there are soundboard recordings of these songs floating around

somewhere I can't find. The songs on "Street Hassle" are definite soundboards.

So do you the Lou Reed connoisseur know of where these song exsist,

and what show's they are from. Can you help me locate the shows where

these live "Street Hassle" songs were recorded?

(contact him through the usual places)

Bob Dylan - Live Hollywood Bowl 3rd Sept 1965 | Voodoo Wagon - A Jobe Special

Bob Dylan - We Had Known A Lion

Live Hollywood Bowl 1965

Now we have said we stopped posting Dylan ROIOs as we seem to have so many (thousands?) and tho’ the so called Never Ending Tour presses on, the soundboards from most recent concerts are much of a muchness so unless something is very special we have just not bothered so much anymore, here’s an exception! It’s from Jobe at HQ at The Voodoo Wagon so it must be worth checking out!

A JOBE SPECIAL

Jobe says:
Here's one we haven't posted yet. Now I'm sure this is posted almost everywhere. This is one I must have bought at a yard sale. While cleaning up some clutter I found this and another Dylan I'll put up in a day or two. If you need more info go here      We Had Known a Lion

Tin Machine - Live San Diego 1991

*THANKS TO JOBE for dredging the HQ archives

Jobe says: "I've always thought that this incarnation of Bowie was treated unfairly.
I love the first "Tinners" album and thought the second one had it's moments.
Boy, and as seeing how I'm burning up the comments section at The Wagon
and The Bookstore this will go over like a lead ballon. "

this from Brother Jobe! (we’ve taken orders you know!)

PRONOUNCED  JAH-SEE

"Here's a guy who probably didn't get a lot of chicks in high school, didn't have a souped-up car, wasn't on the track team, and just not popular at all. So....he spent his time dissecting every David Bowie, Marc Bolan, and Sweet record note by note. Then to top it off this guy is from West Viginia, the home of T.A.C.O. country. I think this is one of the best things out there right now. However your mileage may vary.  “

The Velvet Underground - Rehearsals Andy Warhol’s  Factory January 3 1966

it’s a Brother Jobe Special!

Jobe says: "The vocals on this are really low. However the instruments are recorded fine.
This is the way I got it."

Some gals of music as the chaps appreciate a fine turned ankle tha’ knows!

we have featured the wondrous Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles at the expense of the other gals so . . . .

we like Michael too! Michael (or Mickie) Steele

we like early gals of rock they used to look like Lulu, Sandy Shaw and then the Bangles but . . .

now they look like the wonderful singer Dua Lipa (gal can sing I swear!)

Polly Jean (Harvey) can cut a rug too ya know!

and we never forget the stunning Sade

I mean REALLY!

We like Kim Deal too mind . . .

and we miss Marianne don’t we?

Even Madge started something ya know! (Madonna)

but I mean when it comes down to sheer beauty!
