NEWS FOR MERKINS

The Vances are coming

Of course we advertised the fact with welcoming posters

"In classic “obnoxious American visits the Cotswolds”form

(sorry!, JD Vance has been enjoying a delightful holiday in the village of Charlbury the past week. Well, as delightful as it can be - because many of the locals clearly want him absolutely nowhere near the place.  (This village is just up the road from us and borders onto true Cotswold country)

Attempting to hide from protestors, the VP booked dinner at The Bull, the local gastropub. There was just one problem.

The mutinous staff all said they wouldn’t come to work if they had to serve Vance and his wife. Facing staff grumbles and a barrage of negative press attention The Bull refused his patronage.

(The same pub had hosted Kamala Harris the week before, as part of the pre-wedding dinner for Steve Jobs’ daughter.)” [ahem!]

we even advertised the Vance holiday with mobile welcomes on the side of local transport

I mean it would be churlish (nay even childish) to share such misfortune and share such feelings with the world but what ya gonna do!?

Mostly for the boys at HQ Brother Jobe Silent Way et al!

This shot of Cat Power always worried me as it looks like she is need of comfort . . she may well just be lying on the grass of course . . .

Bob Dylan - Live Hollywood Bowl 3rd Sept 1965 | Voodoo Wagon - A Jobe Special

Bob Dylan - We Had Known A Lion

Live Hollywood Bowl 1965

Now we have said we stopped posting Dylan ROIOs as we seem to have so many (thousands?) and tho’ the so called Never Ending Tour presses on, the soundboards from most recent concerts are much of a muchness so unless something is very special we have just not bothered so much anymore, here’s an exception! It’s from Jobe at HQ at The Voodoo Wagon so it must be worth checking out!

A JOBE SPECIAL

Jobe says:
Here's one we haven't posted yet. Now I'm sure this is posted almost everywhere. This is one I must have bought at a yard sale. While cleaning up some clutter I found this and another Dylan I'll put up in a day or two. If you need more info go here      We Had Known a Lion
