JACK BRUCE BAND

LIVE 1975

Some great new posting from the brotherhood of blogs (I LIKE that!) of Floppy Boot Stomp and Voodoo Wagon in the past
few days and we start with a peach from the Jack Bruce Band from 1975 at TheManchester Free Trade Hall with Carla Bley and Mick Taylor on guitar. It is simply breathtaking quality and is available here in FLAC format quality so especially fine. (N.B. If you want to convert FLAC files I use All2MP3 or Easy Tree [here] or if you don't like these I find online converter quite handy  Online Converter

Floppy Boot Stomp says:

LIVE '75 is a recording made on the legendary Jack Bruce Band tour of that year. With a band featuring former Rolling Stone Mick Taylor on guitar, Jazz icon Carla Bley on keyboards, Ronnie Leahy on piano and organ and Bruce Gary on drums, this release captures the band at the peak of their powers at a concert in Manchester's Free Trade Hall on June 1st 1975. Featuring dramatically extended versions of classic Jack Bruce compositions such as 'Morning Story', 'Keep it Down', 'Smiles and Grins' and two lengthy medleys of 'Tickets to Waterfalls / Weird of Hermiston / Post War' and 'One / You Burned the Tables on Me', the live set also featured Tony Williams' composition 'Spirit' and the Cream classic 'Sunshine of Your Love'.

It was an official release but is long out of print now and exchanges hands for over $60 a pop so I post the link here
