Browsing the Voodoo Wagon and enjoying my morning's perusal of the Floppy Boot Stomp I often view the side bar and their interest in other folks' blogs and thereby hides a gem this morning
THE JDP
has shared a scorcher of a set from the BBC Radio Richard Skinner Show 'Rock Hour'. Its something of an oddity and as JDP says is sourced from our old friend draftervoi so I will credit him too. It must be an American sourced original as it contains adverts (for Danone Yoghurt and Scotch Tape no less!) so it must have been aired somewhere on commercial stations but you can easily leave those out as they are nicely edited in so we can just as nicely edit them out! It is great quality and well worth having around the time of the 'Laughter' album
The New JDP says
" Ian Dury & The Blockheads
BBC Rock Hour #215
LWL's Broadcast Week of April 12, 1981
Dominion Theatre, London
Flac & MP3 320kbpsDigitized from an original vinyl record broadcast set.
Hey, it's a Pre-FM encoded by Draftervoi so you know it's a great listen. Then you have the fact that it's 1981 Ian Dury & The Blockheads! Also it is a Pre-FM from Ian Dury & The Blockheads"
and
"If I don't listen to something I don't post it. On that same line if I won't listen to it I won't post it"
A tenet I hold dear myself!

This is the way. Those links on the sides of blogs can open up whole new worlds of musical enjoyment that you just may not have known about otherwise.
The flip side of that is that you develop very strong opinions about various file hosting sites.
Welcome Dok!
