"Holly recorded his own version of Mickey & Sylvia's Love Is Strange as an acoustic demo in his attic. It was later overdubbed in 1969 with an early version of a Moog synthesizer and released as a single. The synthesized strings give it a very haunting, ghostly feel, as if he’s singing from beyond the grave, which of course he was.”
