Bonnie Raitt in 2002 Interview: 

I remember hanging out with Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker, these guys who were at the top of their sexual prime in their 50's, and I just couldn't believe how cool they were, but now I know how they felt. I feel funnier and sexier. I'm playing guitar better. It's like I finally know what I'm doing. I don't mean to boast, but I feel like I'm on top of my game."

"I love the whole gypsy life, having to prove myself every night," she said. "I make records so I can go on tour, not the other way around.”
