Dave took me to task on my exploring my sort of blind spot where Lowell George is concerned and I truly don’t know what it is .. . . he kindly sent a link to these two tracks from the classic album Feats Don’t Fail Me now so this is dedicated to my friend and neighbour!

All this Feat and more......We all have blindspots Mr. S....I'm in the camp that puts little Lowell right up there in the Premier League. Some of my very favourite (ahem!) mewsic (if I may).
Back in those days they were in town supported by The Outlaws. My duty was to interview those fine boys while my great partner in Fanzining had a cosy time with Mr. Bill Payne. Duties done we all collided in the lift with Mr. Lowell George himself. He was heading to the gig venue and they were shorthanded for moving stuff around so we were pitched in as part-time roadies during the soundcheck!!!!! I have to tell you it was every bit as good as the gig later and of course a bit more exclusive a treat being so up close and personal.....
