note: opening set for Bob Dylan

Speedy he say: 1997: In May 1996, The Wallflowers released their 2nd album, Bringing Down the Horse. While sales started slowly, interest picked up when the single 6th Avenue Heartache began receiving extensive airplay on FM radio. The video for the tune also went into heavy rotation on MTV and VH1. The disc eventually reached #4 on the Billboard charts and certified 4 times platinum. In January 1997, the band received 2 Grammy nominations for 6th Avenue Heartache. This excellent audience recording captures them later in 1997, playing a private corporate event, in San Jose on November 1997, 27 years ago today. Of note, they led on for Bob Dylan, who if course in the father of The Wallflower's Jakob Dylan, but father and son did not perform together!

Now I love Jakob’s work and yet somehow I have let down myself where The Wallflowers are concerned! This will help!

Again I don’t usually post audience recordings but its Speedy so I’ll make an exception! So sue me!
I found it well worth listening to and adjusted my Apple iMac Equalizer as the vocals were a bit distant but ‘RnB’ setting sorted it actually! Well worth it, you won’t be disappointed

Head on over to So Many Roads to ease your worried soul!
