So true what you say (obv.) Missed his very early stuff back when but latched on for the continuing ride at "Bring The Family" as the Cooder connection kicked in. Saw him live around "Perfectly Good Guitar' with a great band and also a solo gig a bit later. Another highlight was a Little Village gig in London. Great to see though have to say their album was ultimately a bit disappointing for me......material not their best level IMHO.
I agree the album disappointed me and only later did some of the boots and live concert footage make me salivate for more! I think it was the concentration on new material that the album needed to emphasis whereas the live appearances seemed to obviously included songs that each were more known for!? Does that make sense? Still so envious around ‘Perfectly Good Guitar’ (his peak IMHO?) and would have loved to see him live. Thanks as ever for dropping by to comment Sealyman
