JIM WHITE NEWS (for the Daves!) Sealyman and Van D!

 Jim White update

We had been talking about Jim White with the Sealyman! and I said I had been contacted by my old boss and mentor (another Dave) who sent me images and asked if I knew him and how much he had enjoyed the set and there is this . . . White had been touring last month (with his trio?) and we missed him it seems . . . in Jan he released this which frankly is a scary and dark as he usually gets! Thanks mostly to Trey I reckon . . . . but phew what a voice!

That clip is just brilliant. I've dug out all my Jim White stuff for an extended Revisit. Thanks Mr. Swappers. The photos are from my nearest music venue. Does your "other Dave" live nearby?

He does! Knew you would be neighbours (sic!?) well sort of; he’s over in Broomhill S10 I think. Very important man to me, a mentor and boss from the Ley Community ( a rehab where I worked to him) Awesome individual and I have a feeling you would get on . . . . . . .

More than likely....walking distance away from us and he's right by Sheffield's greatest ever Record store. "Record Collector"......did a few stints behind the counter myself back in the day.

It was a fab gig. I loved that they all sat down, that he acknowledged his ADD to explain his consistent lack of eye contact with the audience and his mix of guitars, which he said he never pays more than $100 (I think yhat was the number) for any one of them...

Lovely guy and completely not how I'd imagined - we all got older since Searching for a one eyed Jesus was released!

The Greystones is my local - or at least my regular even though I live the other side of the valley, nice to have a long walk home through the forest after.

Keep up the great work Andy, you're an inspiration!
