Who put Bella in the witch elm?
In 1943, the remains of a woman who had been murdered were found inside a hollow tree. Graffiti asking “Who put Bella in the witch elm?“ has been appearing around the area ever since the body was discovered. The answer has still not been answered but theories of black magic and espionage are always being put forward.
