Speaking of John Prine covers . . . . .you know the story of Bonnie changing the words to John’s song and his response was to say well that's fine she has made a version that is pretty much hers anyway! Might sign off the weekend with this one
Also it is worthy of noting personally that it was Nanci and Bonnie how I discovered John Prine’s work through these covers we posted the last 24 hours . . . I said well who wrote these two songs and went out and bought the Prine collection album Great Days and was hooked and bought everything ever since [and his back catalogue complete in time!]
We miss John, we miss Nanci and bless Bonnie . . . . .carrying the flame
