Somehow missed this lyric song of Emily’s from her last album and as she forays more into poetry, the lyrics of her recent work have gotten stronger and stronger, more depth somehow, more emotional intelligence and deeper and deeper, if sometimes painful, self expression.
I love this song as I do all of Emily’s work. She is a lovely person and forging a unique place in singer songwriting history IMHO. Will sign off the day with this haunting song and hope the additional lyrics help your enjoyment . . . . they did mine!
