People don’t really seem to know what a truly lovely person Keith was especially his friends and fans and of those especially those disadvantaged ones in particular. The scary persona, like so many pop icons, was a stage character alter ego and no smacking of bitches, up or otherwise, took place . . . . . lost too young

On 4 March 2019 after concerns over Keith’s welfare he was found dead at his home. He was 49

Just a little update that touched me . . . . now I am no fan of James Blunt but actually find his ability to have coped with an enormous backlash against him really endearing. His ability to see the funny side and be self deprecating is the mark of intelligence in my view. His observations about Keith here are priceless and both go so much higher up in my estimation as a result, I was moved beyond words. Also for what it's worth look how naming the haters (ha ha) makes them look?!
