GORDON LIGHTFOOT

Plain & Fancy has posted a nice compilation of Gordon Lightfoot singles (1970 - 1980) and as it features the likes of Ry Cooder, John Sebastian, Milt Holland and many others it is worth checking out if your a fan and there's the rub for me . . . . I appreciated Lightfoot and always found Dylan's comments appreciative but the work never sparked in me somehow Did he not travel outside his native Canada? . . . . . did he not make it in the UK? Europe, the US? and he does have an incredibly loyal following which seems right and just he merely never floated my kayak! 

Enjoy . . . it IS worth a listen at least to hear the singles all in one place including Kris Kristofferson's 'Me n Bobby McGee' and "Sundown' and 'Early Morning Rain' of course with bigger hits outside Canada like 'Rainy Day People' and 'Talking In Your Sleep' it is nothing if not comprehensive
