Now THIS is why I love American music and feel glad to be alive while there are folks like Jason Isbell around writing songs like this. I LOVE this music! Keeper of the faith and defender of John Prine you might argue ( I do!) he is continuing the School of Prine in that he writes honest, well seen and insightful songs about true Americana scenes of the minutiae and everyday. Great writer and great musician too. Only Isbell could walk off the Country Music Awards after Kenny Rogers was honoured but nothing for JP.
