Wow Dell that is early! Me too! I think my memory serves that whilst we all dug Big Pink and Great White Wonder I really sat up and took notice properly about the Band in their own right about the time of Before The Flood and only got to see them later at Wembley in ’74?(playing support (?) to Joni Mitchell and CSNY and frankly they blew the rest out of the water. I said this somewhere on Facebook and a person from Garth Hudson facebook page acknowledged my appreciation as the whole concert had just appeared again on video (and re-mastered)I can’t believe it was the maestro myself but I like to think so!
