GRETCHANINOV - op.119 no.2 - Ein Altes Gedicht [An Old Romance]

For my old friend and ex-colleague in art, Graham Halstead! He plays piano! And I never knew! . . . . we worked together at MOMA in Oxford from the mid seventies to the eighties and he was the peerless technician responsible for the collection and hanging of all the artworks exhibited therein whilst we worked together, framing and pandering to artists desires as to the display of their work (were they still alive) and the making of everything from a basic photo frame to re-constructions of Russian Constructivist furniture [Rodchenko , El Lissitsky et al] Graham did it all. We all assisted him under his direction when it came to installation week(s) We had many happy memories of working on shows and collecting works from artists  too many to list here. He was and is a lifelong friend

he wanted to play this and take it slower than some so there’s this . . . . . . . . not a piece I knew (or the composer TBF!)
