Sir Douglas Quintet - Keep Your Soul (1971) | Guess I’m Dumb

Sir Douglas Quintet Keep Your Soul (1971)

"Strangely, the name Sir Douglas Quintet was chosen because it sounded British. After returning to Texas in 1971, Doug Sahm adopted the name Doug Saldaña for this album, a nickname that Mexican musicians in San Antonio had given him. The album is all over the map in terms of genre, but this one is almost straight up country, and I’m thinking that’s Doug on the fiddle."
