Now I didn’t really get Abba (or maybe I got it too much!?) Full of clumsy double entendre’s and hokey English (not their first language it has to be said) but I always got the distinct impression the girls didn’t understand a single word they sang!
The music is by two Tim Rice/Lloyd-Weber types to me and I cannot stand either of them! It was all so SO funny! Kitsch and kitsch now is big business and maybe always was . . . . occasionally I admit a hook grabbed me and this is not exception . . . . . .’Waterloo' I though was truly AWFUL, dreadful Euroshlock of the first water and that is of course the point of the FIRST water (sic!) of course it was Eurovision claptrap and people enjoy that saccharine sweet papa so what do I know!?
