the brilliant publisher Route posted this on their Facebook page the other day and it reminded me I bought this as a picture disc EP  (ask your Grandad!) from Charly Records when I was but a kid precociously fascinated by blues music from Big Bill Broonzy, Leadbelly and others. This song has stick with me all my working life . . . . . here's a message to everyone I ever worked for!!!

Jimmy Reed was born as Mathis James Reed in Dunleith, Mississippi on this day in 1925.

I bought an EP of this when but a youngster and it has stayed with me ever since. A classic blues and it summarises everything I have ever thought about employment. I have thought about this song for every single boss I ever had . . . . . . .you ain't so big you juss tall that's all!

Musically it is well nigh on perfect too IMHO . . . . . .
