 Now I took a line from frequent flyer Diamond Dave about The Spirit Hey Joe cover  I posted t’other day and he recommended this young man! Now we know Christone "Kingfish” Ingram and his version of the Hendrix is perfectly fine but didn’t really float my boat somehow and so each to their own huh (?) but as he popped by to say so it deserves some response and there is THIS! This is for him!

"Cream were a British rock supergroup formed in London in 1966. The group consisted of bassist Jack Bruce, guitarist Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker. Bruce was the primary songwriter and vocalist, although Clapton and Baker contributed to songs. Formed by members of previously successful bands, they are widely considered the first supergroup. Cream were highly regarded for the instrumental proficiency of each of their members."

Our version of The Sound of Music’s “Edelweiss” was by far the most popular moment during our first-ever public YouTube Livestream earlier this year. YouTube’s insights show which parts of a stream get re-watched the most, and “Edelweiss” was a clear winner!   It was unexpected, but it inspired us to film a proper Duo Session for the song, which we’re excited to share with you today! ☺️   This Duo Session has been available for MLT Club members for a while now but we also wanted to post it publicly to ring in the holiday season ❤️

Ralph McTell - The Streets of London / Dry Bone Rag (Blind Blake)

 BBC Four just (last night) featured Ralph McTell’s early gig for the Old Grey Whistle Test (BBC Shepherd’s Bush Theatre 1976) and it was very lovely covering Blind Blake to John Martyn in his usual endearing self effacing rather humble style . . . I loved Ralph from early on and like so many his Hit The Streets of London now covered by over 200 other singers explains a lot about why and how I finished my working life working for the homeless in the services and hostels locally . . . . . . . .
