Infuriatingly, the (otherwise fairly detailed) liner notes make mention that the material from this disc was pulled from live performances at Tipitina’s on February 2nd and 3rd … of what year, Rob Bowman?!  Nowhere does it say.  But it’s certainly sometime in the 70s, post Fess revival.  And whenever it was, it smokes. Also of note is the cover illustration by the great Milton Glaser.
