Tom Verlaine: (13 December 1949 - 28 January 2023)

Nice biography from Kostas over at Urbanaspirines

Tom & Patti

Looking specifically at four albums; Tom Verlaine (’78), Dreamtime (1981), Songs and Other Things (2006) Around 2006

Tom Verlaine (born Thomas Miller, December 13, 1949 – January 28, 2023) was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter. Tom Verlaine, whose band Television was one of the most influential to emerge from the New York punk rock scene centered on the nightclub CBGB — but whose exploratory guitar improvisations and poetic songwriting were never easily categorisable as punk, or for that matter as any other genre — died on Saturday in Manhattan announced by Patti Smith’s daughter Jesse.

It's really sad, three Great musicians dead in a few days. David Crosby, Van Conner and now Tom Verlaine.

It's sad news.......again.

Still mourning Jeff and now another guitarist, though his style and technique were so different, who inspired me in my younger days.
If you want me to "Prove It", just go to the "Marquee Moon", but don't fall in the "Foxhole".
His solo albums are really enjoyable too and worth checking out.
