another in the 12” singles I bought when they came out thanks to the always brilliant American Primitives the blog that is mostly known for showing us classic pictures from American Music History and shares occasional classic early Amero Pop! As in here . . . . . .now McLaren never one to avoid band wagon jumping, saw the Afro Pop influencers once Paul Simon’s Graceland and went to South Africa to find the music but landed upon the girls of New York in their competitive dance/skipping with their 14’ ropes and team jumping often in time to the music of wherever and produced this and heck taking advantage or nay, you can damn well dance to THIS and we danced to this till we dropped!
