Bob Dylan Paris France 1993 - So Many Roads
Now we haven’t posted any Dylan for an age and you know I have kinda stopped availing of the soundboards from the Nineties onwards as they all seemed pretty much of a muchness but here’s another set. This one from Speedy over at ‘So Many Roads’ and if you play one thing today try Cat’s In The Well from Paris here back in ‘93 . . . its beauty and will have you jumpin’.
I really wanted to try this set as it includes a rarity for me the versions of live Man In Me for my old pal Stephen Blackman who loved that song and it ensured I tried this ROIO and you won’t be disappointed I reckons! It may requite some know twiddling (don’t we all!) omn the graphic equaliser but once adjusted it is well worth a listen
Speedy says:
"During the early 1990s, Bob Dylan took a break from writing new songs. Instead, he focused on recording traditional folk songs that had influenced his musical style. In late 1992, he released the disc, Good As I Been To You, which included covers of 17 folk songs, He followed that with another album of traditional tunes in 1993, entitled World Gone Wrong. Both discs received positive critical reviews. For example, famed critic Robert Christgau gave a B+ grade To Good As I Been To You and an A- to World Gone Wrong. This soundboard recording captures Dylan on tour during that period, in the Netherlands, on February 15, 1993, 25 years ago today. While the set list is filled with Dylan classics, about mid show he plays 2 tunes from Good As I Been To You, Tomorrow Night and Jim Jones.” Speedy
