I am not given to enjoying or promoting Captain Beefheart covers but here's one that made me sit up and take notice, great version and transformed here by the beauty of a voice that makes this love song totally different in flavour to the original. If you are going to do it, make it your own and she does!

Niamh Regan covers The Captain’s “Her Eyes Are A Blue Million Miles”
Captain Beefheart’s music continues to be an influence and an inspiration for a younger generation of musicians. “Her Eyes Are A Blue Million Miles” is covered here by Irish singer songwriter, Niamh Regan. This is the first time she has recorded a cover song and has released the song as a single. Of course the original version was on Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band's Clear Spot album now enjoying its 50th anniversary.
