Again if you blink . . . . . etc etc nearly missed this great rare and unreleased Elvis Costello collection from the interstellar genius. If you didn’t download it first time around back in 2017 you are in for a treat!
This is a peach from Silent Way at HQ and really not to be missed !
Elvis Costello - Rare and Unreleased 1982 - 1987 - FLOPPY BOOT STOMP
The People’s Limousine - Elvis Costello
Silent Way has excelled too in his choice of youtube clips with this fifteen minutes of Irish roots music Live on The Session in Dublin 1987
Elvis sings a number of songs for Irish TV the first that pulls no punches about a huge miscarriage of British justice the case of Derek Bentley and the hanging of a mentally impaired (from a brain injury) young teenage man who was convicted of murder for the use of one phrase “Let him have it’ despite not having the gun or firing the weapon his plea being misunderstood as a request to hand the gun over as opposed to shooting someone, and a policeman was shot to death by his accomplice. Derek William Bentley, 19, was hanged at Wandsworth Prison in London on January 28, 1953.
Forty years later he was granted a royal pardon. . . . . fascinating set from our Elvis and well chosen by our Silent Way!
