HENRY THOMAS - Going Up The Country
The name Henry Thomas first came to me through my love of The Lovin’ Spoonful as a callow youth and it has stuck with me . . . . . . .not least my then love of Canned Heat engendered by being woken up at what seemed like 3 am by the band as I lay in the mud at one of the first Glastonbury Festivals (the first?_ prolly) . . . . . .and the single they covered of his wonderful song here
wiki says

of course it wouldn’t be Summer without a Woodstock reference! Here’s the sorely missed Canned Heat and the even more missed Al Wilson who liked to sleep outdoors and hope he’s up country now . . . . . . .
