Remembering Janis Joplin (born Janis Lyn Joplin in Port Arthur, TX) - January 19, 1943 - October 4, 1970

October 4, 1970 ~ Janis is found dead at the Landmark Hotel in Los Angeles after a heroin overdose. She was just 27.Janis and the Full Tilt Boogie Band were working on the Pearl album and were almost finished. The band put down the tracks for “Buried Alive In The Blues” and Janis planned to do the vocals the next day.The Pearl album in released three months later on January 12, 1971.

No-one and I mean NO-ONE to touch her . . . . .I loved Janis and bought Cheap Thrills when it came out . . . . . . I may have mentioned this elsewhere or earlier here but hey . . . . .
