“By this River” is a track that originally featured on one of Eno’s early solo albums, “Before and after Science” (1977) on EG Records. A favourite of many fans, the track was written by Eno, Dieter Moebius and Hans – Joachim Rodelius, who were both formerly in Cluster and Harmonia, bands that Eno also collaborated with. This version was captured live at the Acropolis, and was performed by Brian and Roger Eno, with support from Leo Abrahams, Cecily Eno and Peter Chilvers at their concert as part of the Epidaurus Festival in the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, in Athens on August 4th 2021.
