PAUL McCARTNEY - LIVE AT COACHELLA 2009 - So Many Roads

 MACCA at COACHELLA 2009

Now I don't normally post audience recordings any more and such is how we are spoilt now but this is an exception (there are some) This is great and thanks to the quality of the sounds at this Coachella it doesn't suffer too much from audience noise . . . . . . . . great addition to So Many Roads. Thanks guys!

Paul McCartney - Live at Coachella 2009 - So Many Roads

It all starts with Diplo's legendary re-mix of The Beatles 'Twist and Shout' which is either cheeky or, if Macca approved, a stroke of genius!

So Many Roads say:

When the Cochella Music and Arts Festival launched in 1999, the 2 day event hosted about 37,000 concert goers, just slightly more than half the foretasted 70,000 the organizers had hoped to draw.  The festival was then cancelled in 2000, and retained in 2001, but only as a single day event.  Things looked bleak for the future until AEG purchased the original promoters of the festival, providing a strong source of funding in the process. Cochella returned to a 2 day format in 2002 and hasn't looked back. Artists such as Paul MccArtney, Prince, Roger Waters, Jay Z, AC DC, Kayne West, Lada Gaga and Beyonce have headlined the festival in recent years.  In 2007, the festival expanded to 3 days.  In 2012, it grew to encompass back to back 3 day weekends, each featuring the same line of artists.  This excellent audience recording captures McCartney's appearance, a dozen years ago today at that the 2009 Festival, on April 17, 2009.

Have at it - you won't be disappointed!
