54:40 - 'He’s Got' & ‘Yank' | Burl Veneer Music

Burl Veneer posted this interesting stuff t’other day and I missed out on it but it is worth checking out and for all the reasons they say! 

54-40’s first EP, Selection (1982), finds them experimenting with different post-punk styles before settling into a more radio-friendly mode on subsequent releases. “Yank” has Joy Division DNA, replicating JD producer Martin Hannett’s distinctive snare drum sound:
