The Anniversary of The Peterloo Massacre brings us this article from Tribune Magazine

‘Rise like Lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number,
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you
Ye are many — they are few.’
205 years ago today, protestors demanding the vote in Manchester were killed in what became known as the Peterloo Massacre.
