Rick(y) Nelson :: Live In Chicago - Voodoo Wagon (Jobe)

If you don't really see Ricky Nelson as one of the main inspirers of Rockabilly and fathers of Rock 'n'Roll then you have to open your eardrobes! Milkcow Blues which we played the other days is a stone classic of the genre without which etc etc . . . . It may have been his teenybopper appearance and strikingly handsome good looks that made him less of an icon than Elvis but he could rock and listen to this if you don't believe me! The management obviously made a mint from his charms and singing ability and will have doubtless chosen crooner type songs (Hello Mary Lou) for him to hit the teeny bopper gals right in the gussset and the purse but hey. A resurgence in interest gave him a swansong in the early eighties before his untimely death in 1985 . . . . . let that boy rock 'n' roll!

Thanks for the dedication Jobe and I enjoyed this immensely ! As brother Jobe says I'm off down the shop to get me a soda pop!
