Today we focus on George’s top ten Beatles songs.
Over the years, when “The Quiet One” was asked about his favourite Beatles songs, he consistently avoided answering the question.
He did, however, once clearly describe his favorite album.
“Rubber Soul was my favourite album,” he said.
“Even at that time, I think that it was the best one we made. The most important thing about it was that we were suddenly hearing sounds we weren’t able to hear before. Also, we were being more influenced by other people’s music and everything was blossoming at that time—including us.”
Regarding George’s favoured songs, Far Out Magazine did a deep dive into obscure interviews and otherwise combed the net for George’s preferred songs. Here’s their list:
